Configure Yum for Proxy Server

Configure the Cent OS in the proxy network for yum update and public repository.

It's a not a big deal for this configuration, we have to add simple line into the yum.conf file like this :





Note: There is two option to configure the proxy :
1> Put the system host in the IP Pass list in the proxy server.
2> put the username and password in the yum.conf, like this :


and move the CentOS-Media.repo to the old directory so that the we can easily and verify the configuration with yum update like this:


The reason behind to move the CentOS-Media.repo to the old directory that, if it not found the local media then it will not continue.

and be careful  about the proxy setting, you are using one of them.

HP A5120 Configuration

Today I am going to configure the HP A5120-24G EI Switch. We require the COM1 Port on the system and console cable.
